This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
I admit it: I'm a food snob! I love fine dining. I search out the best restaurants and chefs because I enjoy quality food prepared in an excellent manner.
I was thrilled to recently discover Martin's Fine Desserts on Richards Street in Salt Lake City. For more than a decade Martin Perham has been providing Utah's finest hotels, restaurants and upscale clients with exquisite desserts and custom celebration cakes.
Martin's culinary career began at the age of 14 when he worked for a family-owned bakery in England. While attending Barnfield College (culinary school), Martin earned a silver medal in a pastry competition at Hotelympia in London in 1982.
Martin came to the United Sates in the early 1980s and embarked on a career that took him to some of the most upscale hotels in the country. He came to Utah 17 years ago and has since built a large, loyal and satisfied clientele. Repeat customers love his German apple pies and Italian tiramisu, but his wedding and specialty cakes are his true masterpieces. Martin loves to work directly with clients to discover their specific needs so he can provide unique, handcrafted and baked-from-scratch cakes that are the centerpiece of the event they're created for. Martin's Fine Desserts offers a long list of cake flavors, fillings and icings to satisfy any customer.
One of Martin's larger accounts is the EnergySolutions Arena for which he supplies desserts for the Jazz 100, luxury suites and the VIP areas. “I'm grateful to Larry Miller for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent,” Martin told me.
Cheesecakes, gourmet pies and tarts are popular but Martin's menu includes many other scrumptious temptations. What a great treat to discover Martin Perham!
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
