Speaking on Business

NEXT GENERATION MOTOR SPORTS

March 3, 2008

This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

I have a confession to make. I have cabin fever! With spring on the horizon, especially after a particularly bad winter, I find the prospect of nice weather outside exhilarating! Being cooped up in my office all winter is no fun. Utah is home to some very beautiful outdoor locations, which both Scott Raiford and Mike Alguire are well aware of.

Scott has been involved with power sport vehicles since his youth. After becoming acquainted with Mike, who owned a neighboring business, they discovered a shared passion for ATVs. They decided to go into business together and opened Next Generation Motor Sports a short time later in October 2005.

Next Generation Motor Sports is a one-stop shop for anything to do with power sports. The business carries a variety of new and used ATVs and any accessories that go along with them. The shop is geared for all members of the family and includes a repair shop to service all ATVs, even those not purchased from the business.

One of the unique aspects of Next Generation is that the business includes a test course, so Scott and Mike can ride all of the vehicles they sell. This is a hands-on approach that allows the two owners a personalized look at the vehicles so they can better advise their customers on the ATV that will best fit their needs.

Scott tells me what draws customers back is the fact that he and Mike will go out of their way to take care of them. In the two years since they started their business, they have expanded the service department and remodeled the store. They are constantly watching for anything they can do to improve the store or quality of products.

Starting this spring, Next Generation Motor Sports' inventory will include wave runners, side-by-side utility vehicles and sand rails up to 400 horse power. For the time being, Scott plans to continue offering new products and superior service in the hands-on way his clients have become accustomed to.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
