This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
On my last program, I told you about my marvelous experience visiting the world-class resort, Lava Hot Springs. I was so pleasantly surprised with the facilities and the many great attractions in this Idaho community.
I fully expected to see some hotel/motel accommodations because the resort attracts more than 150,000 people each year. What I didn't expect is to experience the truly luxurious accommodations offered by Lions Gate Manor. John Clark was a most gracious host, and he proudly showed me the facilities.
I was a little concerned about access but discovered that from my office in Salt Lake City it was a very pleasant two hour drive. On my departure from Lava Hot Springs, I drove to Pocatello and was there in about half an hour. The facilities are located just 11 miles east of Interstate 15 on US Highway 30.
You can see the international elegance upon arrival, but after John showed me some of the rooms and suites, it was obvious that the world-class destination city and resort has world-class accommodations to match. For the ultimate in luxury, there is the Phantom's Lair. This is a very large and luxurious suite, ideal for a honeymoon or anniversary. I then saw the International Suites. Each has a theme and is beautifully decorated and equipped. The Victorian Garden room has a dramatic fireplace and a two-person jetted tub. The Roman Bath facility features a sunken tub and large bed.
There are also rooms that offer traditional comfort. While not as expansive or ornate, they are beautiful modern rooms with special amenities and features.
Lava Hot Springs is a year-round community located in a picturesque mountain setting. The area provides great fun, relaxation, adventure and wonder, and highlights the hot mineral springs and other major water activities — and, of course, the luxurious accommodations at Lions Gate Manor.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
