This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
To look at the long list of awards to his name, it's hard to believe the photographer Bry Cox has only been in the business for a decade.
Last year, he was named Photographer of the Year by the Intermountain Professional Photographers of America. He has also been recognized as a National Photographer of the Year, and has received dozens of awards for individual photos and albums. Bry Cox's work has appeared in Fugi Film ads, TV Guide, Billboard Magazine, American Girl Magazine and American Photo Magazine.
He has earned the designations of Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman and Certified Professional Photographer — credentials that belong to only a handful of photographers in the state.
I asked Bry how at such a young age he has been able to achieve such success. He tells me that he has always delighted in capturing the emotional impact of a moment and creating an heirloom. He brings his camera wherever he travels and will often walk around a city in the early morning hours photographing people and places. His pictures often include dramatic lighting capture people interacting in everyday life.
Bry grew up in an artistic family; his mother was an author and his father was a composer. He knew he wanted to do something creative and enrolled in photography classes in high school and college, where he discovered his knack for the medium. He went on to earn art and business degrees to help him run his own studio.
Bry's studio sits on a beautiful half acre lot in Davis County that serves as the backdrop for individual, family and bridal photographs. He also travels to shoot projects on location, such as weddings, concerts and other events. At his Web site, BryCox.com, I saw many of Bry's compelling photographs and I could see how his success is driven by his passion for photography.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
