NEW CONCEPTS CONSTRUCTION

March 22, 2010

This is Rob Brough, Zions Bank, speaking on business.

Have you ever noticed that it's the personal touches that make one company stand out from another? And sometimes that touch becomes the deciding factor in which company you want to work with on a project.

Kevin Hunt says this is the approach he and his two business partners, Kim Jorgensen and Bart Hunt, have taken with their general contracting firm, New Concepts Construction. The company's growth has been controlled enough so the owners can personally be involved with each and every project the company completes. This provides a high level of quality control that clients have responded well to.

The Salt Lake City-based company provides new construction in both the commercial and residential sector, but its specialty is commercial tenant improvement services such as professional office space renovations and remodels. New Concepts is licensed in Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada and Arizona. Some of the larger Investment Grade Clientele include Verizon Wireless, Regis Corporation, Kennecott Land, eTrade, Roderick Enterprises, CommerceCGR, CB Richard Ellis, Coldwell-Banker Commercial, the LDS Church and even Zions Bank.

Kevin and Kim met while both were working in residential new construction. Kim was a subcontractor for the firm Kevin was employed with. After a few years, Kevin and Kim decided they wanted to get involved in the commercial side of the business so they teamed up, brought in Kevin's son, Bart, and launched New Concepts Construction in 1989.

In the more than 20 years since that time, Kevin says the company's main focus has never changed. Although weathering the economic storm is a major focus right now, he, Kim and Bart all hope to continue growing their firm and offering only the highest level of customer service possible.

For Zions Bank, I'm Rob Brough. I'm speaking on business.
