CONSULTNET

March 5, 2010

This is Rob Brough, Zions Bank, speaking on business.

Information technology is an essential aspect of most companies. In 1996, during the technology boon's era, Don Goldberg saw there was a need to help companies find tech professionals. And Don founded ConsultNet to fulfill this important need.

Don, who, at the time, had recently relocated to Utah from Boston, developed the South Jordan-based ConsultNet as a national information technology and engineering staffing company. It partners with its clients fulfill any IT or engineering needs from application development and system architecture to aerospace engineers.

Company president Spencer Shaffer says ConsultNet specializes in providing a supplemental and flexible workforce by placing skilled technical workers in a temporary staffing model as most companies' staffing needs are variable.

Spencer says ConsultNet sits down with its clients to understand their technology initiatives before recommending any staffing solutions. If the company doesn't have the necessary resources, ConsultNet then steps in to determine the best solution to meet the client's staffing requirements.

In the early 90s, Spencer was in the staffing business. He worked his way up through the industry to become a recognized technical recruiter and, later, an account executive and manager for national firms within the industry. In 1998, Spencer was recruited to help grow ConsultNet, and that's when the company began expanding throughout the West.

ConsultNet's business philosophy focuses on being honest and up front, on time and paying attention to details. Spencer says the company recognizes its ability to positively influence companies and people on a daily basis and strives to use this to give back to the community. He hopes to see it continue growing until it becomes the premiere IT and engineering staffing company for organizations across the country.

For Zions Bank, I'm Rob Brough. I'm speaking on business.
