Mark Patterson understands the importance of a well-built roof. Through his Kearns-based business, Action Roofing, he is doing his best to help Utah families. In addition to re-roofing and roof repairs, Mark also serves as a roofing consultant on whom his clients can call to ensure a roofing job is done correctly.

One of Mark's specialties is finding and repairing leaks. Some roofers have a difficult time locating the exact location of a leak, but Mark is talented at finding and repairing the trouble spots. He is a strong believer in regular roof maintenance, which can lengthen the life of a roof, and he discourages clients from purchasing a new roof if repairs will suffice.

Roofing has been a lifelong profession for Mark. He started in the business at age 17 and has remained ever since. At first he worked as a salesman for other companies, but he soon realized he had enough knowledge to go into business for himself. He launched Action Roofing in 1990 and has experienced great success since then.

Just like many other businesses, Mark says Action Roofing has felt the effects of the bad economy over the past year. He has even watched some of his strongest competitors go under. However, his sterling reputation speaks for itself, and he tells me business has already picked up this year. His coverage area extends statewide and, on occasion, into neighboring states such as Colorado and Wyoming, although the bulk of his clients are concentrated in Salt Lake City.
