TECHNAGLASS

May 21, 2008

This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

Did you know that your windshield is critical to maintaining your vehicle's structural integrity in a rollover accident? That's why a chipped or cracked windshield can create such a safety hazard. In the event of a damaged windshield, TechnaGlass is ready to offer assistance.

TechnaGlass specializes in rock chip repair and replacing all kinds of auto glass including mirrors, windshields, side windows and back windows. In addition to the 12 TechnaGlass locations around the state, the business also provides a mobile service for on-site replacement.

Troy Mason founded TechnaGlass in 1991 because he felt the glass industry would be more lucrative for him than being an electrical engineering student. He sold his Corvette and used the proceeds to fund his new business venture. TechnaGlass originally installed all types of glass including shower doors, commercial applications and build outs for office and residential spaces. Troy discovered a wider market for auto glass and focused his efforts on that market.

Later, Troy met Corbin Archer, who had an MBA from Westminster College and extensive experience in advertising and marketing. Corbin joined Troy in the business, and was appointed as CEO by the board of directors.

TechnaGlass recently expanded into Las Vegas and already has a franchise location in New Mexico. Within the next year, Troy and Corbin plan to open two more Utah locations in Logan and Draper. The business has also developed a training program, and all technicians are required to complete four weeks of training before they can work on a customer's vehicle independently.

Troy and Corbin tell me their philosophy is to keep TechnaGlass customer-focused with fast and convenient service and competitive pricing.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
