In the hot summer months there's nothing quite as refreshing as a nice cool glass of water. If you ask Dennis Lowder, he would probably advise you to try a Kinetico Water System to make your water taste even better.

Dennis was introduced to the Kinetico line of products in 1986 right before moving to Phoenix from Burley, Idaho. He was impressed with Kinetico's line of water filtration, softening and purifying systems, so after arriving in Phoenix, Dennis looked up the local Kinetico dealer and become a salesman for the company. Later, he was invited to become a Kinetico dealer in Albuquerque, N.M., so the Lowder family moved a second time.

Although he enjoyed the experience of running the Albuquerque store, both Dennis and his wife, Sharon, are from Idaho and missed being close to family. When the Kinetico store in Layton was up for sale in 1996, Dennis bought it and moved his family to Utah. Two years later he took over the Provo store.

Today the Lowder family's Kinetico dealership is headquartered in Draper and services most the state. Dennis says the business is very much family owned and operated. He and Sharon run the store together, and many of the employees have been with the company for years. The whole house softening and purification system is the most popular product sold in the Draper Kinetico dealership.

Dennis tells me that Kinetico is based out of Newbury, Ohio and has been in business since 1970. The company has dealer locations, similar to the Lowders' store, throughout the United States and nearly 100 countries worldwide. Dennis feels Kinetic products are unique because the company has a team of engineers that research and develop the products and Kinetico manufactures all of its own products in the United States.

Dennis believes strongly in the Kinetico Water System. He hopes to see his Draper store continue to grow as more Utahns warm to the idea of purified drinking water.
