Sheri Arsenault has always had a great passion for animals, especially dogs. It should come as no surprise then that her new business venture is centered on dogs.

Sheri is the owner and operator of Doginhaus, a resort and spa for dogs, in Park City. The 8,000-square-foot facility offers overnight canine lodging in a variety of rooms from studios and suites to a penthouse. The building is equipped with a state-of-the-art air filtration system and features 6,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor playground area.

In the resort's spa, dogs receive wellness treatments, which include massages or even exercise and conditioning in an underwater treadmill. The spa also includes grooming and styling, as well as a self-wash area for pet owners who want to wash their dogs themselves. In addition to overnight lodging, Doginhaus serves as a daycare so pet owners bring their canines in just for the day.

As a local resident, Sheri thought Park City was the perfect location because it's a dog-friendly community. The resort has been warmly received since it opened in January.

Sheri worked as a volunteer for the local animal shelter and spent years traveling around the United States studying similar facilities as part of her research in developing the list of services and amenities her dog resort would offer.

In connection with a team of certified experts, Sheri developed her own line of dog shampoos that were geographically inspired and include the coastal dog, urban dog and mountain dog.

Sheri's goal is to make Doginhaus a clean and safe environment where pet owners can feel comfortable leaving their animals.
