WHAT'S WORKING WELL?

April 1, 2008

This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

Most people who start their own business do so because they are excited about the product or service they have to offer. Despite their enthusiasm, many small business owners soon find themselves overwhelmed by the details of running a business.

With 30 years of experience in human resources, Mary Cosgrove is available to help. Through her business, What's Working Well, Mary aims to provide tools and methods that help individuals and companies create work that works. She uses a coaching process that aids in clarifying skills, strengths and development potential to improve performance effectiveness.

Mary based her business on the principle that there is something working in every situation. What's Working Well helps business owners discover what works and then build upon it to create an energetic, powerful and productive organization.

Mary spends a good portion of her time coaching people on how to find balance so their business doesn't overwhelm their lives. She also performs human resource audits to make sure companies are in compliance with employment policies and procedures required by law.

The idea for What's Working Well came many years ago when Mary wondered why so many people build business systems that don't work for them and end up miserable. She left the business world for awhile and became an unemployment coach. It was during this time that Mary realized that the answer of "what works" is different for everyone. What's Working Well was created three years ago to address that need.

Mary hopes to create more effective work systems through What's Working Well. She is constantly looking at new ways to deliver services for her clients. She aims to help empower business owners to run their companies in a more effective way.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
