THOMASARTS

March 14, 2008

This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

I have known Dave Thomas for many years. I first became acquainted with him while I was president of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, and he was the president of the Evans Group. In the last few years I lost track of him, but I was excited recently to chat with him about his Farmington company.

After losing the race for Utah's 1st Congressional District seat in 2002, Dave decided with his marketing and communication experience, and his three sons' talents in writing, art and multi-media production, they should open their own agency, which became ThomasArts.

ThomasArts is a full-service marketing and communications company, structured on the 21st Century marketing model, which integrates all forms of media including television, radio, Internet, direct mail and newspaper. The business has grown from its humble beginning with the four Thomases to include 125 employees in three different offices.

Employees are one of the main reasons for the company's success. Dave said they hire people of good character who also happen to have talent, which has worked out well. Since the agency is only five years old, they have based their business entirely on the new marketing model, whereas other agencies have had to re-structure their company to fit it.

ThomasArts' number one focus is the success of its clients, who come from a wide range of industries including health care, financial services, retail and technology. The Gus Paulos car dealership was one of its first clients, and ThomasArts continues to provide marketing and communication services for the business.

Dave's vision is for ThomasArts to grow both regionally and nationally, dependent on the success of its clients. He hopes to continue providing clients and prospective clients with reasons to trust the agency to help drive their business.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
