This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
Soiree Productions in Park City began eight years ago as a wedding planning firm. As the staff worked with caterers, musicians, florists, photographers and other vendors, they quickly saw which vendors performed well in quality, reliability and customer service. People would often call Soiree Productions for advice on who to hire for weddings or other events.
In July 2006, Soiree Productions expanded its services — and its facilities — and opened a wedding library, complimentary to the public, where guests can browse portfolios of all types of vendors. Owner Lillie Garrido tells me the library's vendors are selected by invitation only, based on references and stringent requirements.
As part of the expansion, Soiree took on another exciting dimension — designer wedding gowns. The company opened a bridal shop within its library called White Couture, which features exclusive wedding gowns that Utah brides once had to travel to places like New York City and Los Angeles to obtain. Designers include Vera Wang, Rivini, Judd Waddell and Carmela Sutera and Lillie tells me it is the only place in the state to find such designer labels. The shop also sells elegant shoes, bridesmaid dresses and special occasion clothing.
Currently, White Couture is holding a drawing for a beautiful Monique Lhullier gown — the same dress worn by Kevin Costner's bride, Christine Baumgartner. The gown, valued at nearly $9,000, is on display at Chloe Lane on Park City's Main Street. Soiree Productions is selling "chance-to-win" tickets for a suggested donation of $20, with proceeds benefiting breast cancer awareness.
Along with White Couture and the wedding library, Lillie says Soiree Productions is still heavily involved in wedding planning. The planners and designers work through the entire planning process, from setting a timeline and coordinating with vendors up to the day of services.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
